Environment
The task of this group involves decorating the church in the manner prescribed by the liturgy document, "Environment and Art in Catholic Worship." In the process, the decoration shapes the worship space of the church for the Sunday and seasonal celebrations.

Knights of Columbus
The Knights of Columbus is a fraternal, family service group devoted to the Catholic Church, the parish community and our nation. The projects and charities extended by this organization are numerous and seek to broaden the scope of its activities to attract all the men in Catholic parishes throughout the Carson area.

Legion of Mary
The Legion of Mary is an association of Catholic laity, men and women who spread their faith while growing together in their love for Jesus, in union with Mary, His most perfect disciple. It performs its apostolic work in a spirit of faith, and in union with Mary in such fashion than in those worked for and in one's fellow members, the person our Lord is once again seen and served by Mary, His mother.

Little Flower 3rd Order Carmelite
The Order Lay Carmelite Community is open to men and women either married or single, who desire to follow Christ and his Gospel message through the charisma of prayer, community and service. As a calling to a religious life for the laity, one seeks to find Jesus in the prayer of the quiet seeking Him in solitude and silence.

Parish Construction Commitee
Gives advice to the pastor for any construction projects and major repair and maintenance operations on the building structures and grounds of the parish and its physical development.

Parish Development Program Office
Assists in recording incoming pledges for building projects of the parish and in sending regular billing to contributors. Accepts donations and sends acknowledgement to donors to the development programs. Keeps current a list of these donors. Makes available for individuals financial statements for tax purposes. Sets up the meeting rooms, prepares agenda and acts as secretary in parish meeting related to constructions.

Parish Finance Council
The Parish Finance Council serves as a consultative group to the Pastor in dealing with the Parish business and financial matters. The appointed members oversee the preparation of the Archdiocesan Annual Report and periodically monitor the fiscal status of the parish.

Pastoral Council
The St. Philomena Parish Pastoral Council is a consultative body that makes recommendations to the Pastor regarding the physical and spiritual needs of the parishioners. The Council exercises shared responsibility for the pastoral life of the parish under the guidance and leadership of the Pastor. The Council is composed of members chosen from the parish community to be presided over by the pastor.

Pioneers
This is a group of seniors, who work together to promote good fellowship between members and guests, and to provide an opportunity for personal fulfillment through spiritual and social service and healthful recreational activities.

Sick Bereavement Ministry
This ministry provides service to the family of a deceased by coordinating funeral services with them with the church and Funeral Director. Included in this ministry is the service of administering communion to the sick members of this parish in their homes, hospitals, clinics, etc.

Social Justice Committee
The Social Justice Committee tries to be a voice and a catalyst for the fulfillment of the parish social ministry. The committee sponsors events providing opportunities for parishioners to promote justice, peace and compassion.

Stewardship Commitee
The Stewardship Committee of the Parish Pastoral Council has as its primary task to find ways and means by which the parishioners may be helped to utilize their time, talents and money, to achieve our parish goals and mission.

St. Vincent de Paul
This is the society dedicated to helping people of the parish especially the needy and the homeless. It provides assistance every Tuesday morning by giving out groceries, canned goods and clothing, including emergency assistance for special needs and lodging.

Sunday Counters Team
Our Sunday volunteer counters comprise of team of fourteen committed seniors faithful to our parish. They are of varied ethnic and background with solid skills, ever willing to go the extra mile in order to assist and achieve the exceptional financial results of the parish through their generous service. Their tireless zeal and selfless dedication to their commitment which is brought to bare Sunday after Sunday has enabled the parish to raise its financial credibility and transparency to the parishioners.

Together in Mission
Together in Mission is an annual appeal by the Archdiocese to raise funds to help parishes and schools in need. The money raised enabled needy parishes and schools to continue to serve their Catholic communities. Parishioners are asked to make a pledge or donation to support this program. This group totals all the pledges and contributions, and does all the paperwork required by the Archdiocese for this program.
